Vernon M. Daniel of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2012 in the Fredericksburg Nursing Home at the age of 88.

Mr. Daniel was born on April 8, 1923 to Johnnie M. and Dorothy Daniel nee Cline in Carter Oklahoma. Cecil Joe Howard was a Stepfather to Vernon during his youth. After graduating from High School Vernon joined the Navy. After serving during WWII. He married Anita Tiner on March 27, 1948 in Dallas TX. Mr. Daniel worked for Shell Oil for 38 years. He joined the Masons and would become a 32 degree Mason.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife Anita Daniel nee Tiner of Fredericksburg, Son Steven Mark Daniel of Bellville TX, daughter Linda Marie Mann and husband Douglas Jon of Gillette WY, grandsons Mark Travis Daniel, Nicholas Adam Daniel and wife Lauren and three great grandchildren, Logan, Olivia and Abigail.

He is preceded in death by His parents, Johnnie Monroe Daniel, Dorothy Cline Howard, Cecil Joe Howard, sister Wanda Faye Lenz, and Daughter-in-Law Susan Jeanne Daniel.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 7, 2012 at 12:00p.m. in the Oakwood Cemetery in Waco Texas with Pastor George Watts officiating.
