Randall “Randy” Beckmann
Funeral Director

Randy, Tyler and Christopher Beckmann

Hello, my name is Randall “Randy” Beckmann.  My two children Chris and Tyler attend public school here in Fredericksburg and are active in school activities.  I am proud to continue the tradition of service first started by my great-grandfather, F. Beckmann, in 1876.  I was born in Fredericksburg in 1959 to Roy and Jan Beckmann and was a 1978  honor graduate of Fredericksburg High School.  In 1982 I graduated from Texas Tech University with a business degree.  The next 11 years were spent in various management positions with H.E.B. Grocery Company.  In 1993 I left H.E.B., enrolled at San Antonio College, and obtained my Funeral Director and Embalmer’s Licenses.  I worked at Porter Loring Mortuary in San Antonio from 1994 through 1999 and also taught Mortuary Science courses part-time at San Antonio College.  In 2000 my family and I moved to Mason and bought Mason Funeral Home which we continue to own and operate.  In 2005 I moved back to Fredericksburg to help my parents and sister with the operation of Beckmann Funeral Home.

I believe that it is important to be active in the community in which one lives.  Through the years I have been involved in various committees at church, have served on the Church Council and have also taught Sunday school.  I am a member of Lion’s Club and served as President of the Mason Lion’s Club, have been active in the Chamber of Commerce and in 2004 was honored as Businessman of the Year by the Mason Chamber of Commerce, served on the Campus and District Education Improvement Committee’s at school, have served as a board member for CASA and I am also a board member of the Fredericksburg Band Boosters.  In my free time I enjoy playing golf, hunting, fishing and traveling with my children.

Barbi (Beckmann) and Keith Hagel

Barbi (Beckmann), Baby Kate, Karson, Braiden and Keith Hagel

High School sweethearts Barbi and Keith Hagel are the parents of Braiden,  Karson, and  Holli Kate.  Braiden and Karson both attend St. Mary's Catholic School.  Baby Kate can often be found helping mommy out at their family furniture store. Barbi is a 4th generation Beckmann who takes an active roll in the operation of Beckmann Furniture Store and Beckmann Funeral Home.  Keith is always there to lend a supportive hand to the family business as well.   Barbi and Keith are Fredericksburg natives and both attended  San Angelo State University.  Keith is a 3rd generation dairy farmer and owns and operates the Hagel Diary.  Keith enjoys cooking, collecting music, boating, diving and playing golf.  Barbi loves traveling with the family, camping, playing golf and shopping. But the couple will agree that when they’re not busy working in their family business, just being together with their family is the best place to be.  The Hagels are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.
